Now it’s even easier. - 30th October 2006

Today is the launch of the new improved Climate Change Now website and switching tool. During its pilot the tool has successfully switched 20’000 UK homes to renewable energy. Now, through the launch of our new site we are pleased to announce that reducing your contribution to climate change has become even easier and we look forward to switching millions more.

To help spread the word, over the coming months we will be launching various partnerships with major brands from around the world, that are keen to help their customers tackle climate change by introducing them to Climate Change Now. As well as engaging more people through partnerships with companies, we are also making our tool available for use by other not-for-profit organisations that want to deliver to their users and members, simple effective actions they can take to make a big difference.

During the development of Climate Change Now we have consulted governments, political parties, businesses and influential individuals around the world on how they can help the public to tackle climate change and we have had some considerable successes. However, rather than using the news section to shout about what we have achieved during development, we want to use it to report on how you the public are taking control of your own carbon footprints and leading the way in tackling climate change.

It is the collective power of individuals that will ensure that we not only avert widespread environmental and social disruption through climate change, but that we enjoy a bright and prosperous new future of environmentally and socially responsible development.
