Climate Change Now is a not-for-profit organisation and:

Will I need to fit new equipment?
Switching to renewable energy through CLimate Change Now involves no extra fixtures and no DIY, no panels on the roof, no turbines in your garden, it just comes from the grid, through you electricity meter in the usual way.

 

Will home visits or labour be needed?
Your electricity will be supplied to you in the usual way through the national grid and no labour or home visits will be required to make the switch. The difference is that the electricity you use from the grid to be replaced with electricity from renewable sources.

 

Does it matter which tariff I choose?
Whichever electricity tariff or provider you chose through Climate Change Now, you will considerably reduce your contribution to climate change, by reducing your personal CO2 emissions and by driving the demand that will make more renewable electricity available.

 

What effect will switching really have?
By being part of the UK switch you could help reduce UK CO2 emissions by as much as 1Million tons this year alone. That’s equivalent to the UK emitting no, zero CO2 for an entire day every year.

 

Can I switch outside of the UK?
Through Climate Change Now you can also get access to all leading renewable electricity providers in Europe and we look forward to adding providers from North America soon. In Europe there is capacity for up to 19 Million homes to switch this year, reducing European CO2 emissions by up to 38Million tons.
